Lakeland, FL Signs Contract With American Traffic solutions for Red-light Camera
Enforcement Program
Scottsdale, AZ – (November 13, 2008) – The City Commission of Lakeland, Florida approved a
contract with American Traffic Solutions, Inc. (ATS) to serve as the city’s red-light camera traffic
safety program vendor. Designated intersections will be equipped with ATS’ latest ultra high
resolution digital cameras.
“The goal of Lakeland’s photo-enforcement program is to reduce the number of violations,
crashes and injuries caused by red-light runners,” said Kevin Cook, Director of
Communications for the City of Lakeland. “American Traffic Solutions has a proven track record
of improving traffic safety around Florida without any cost to taxpayers since the program is
totally violator funded. We look forward to improved public safety in Lakeland similar to the
results red-light cameras have shown in other Florida communities.”

largest vendor in Florida, ATS already serves several communities including Apopka, Aventura,
